    Rooting Quesiton

    Just 1 question.
A little background: I’ve been thinking of buying one of the SD cards from N2Acards for my Nook Color simply because I don’t want to do it myself (I'm not a noob but I am lazy). But the other day I was in the B&N store and stopped by the Nook booth and had the following conversation with the Nook rep.
Me: I love my Nook Color but I really needed a little more from it, I wish B&N would let me use the Android market. I've heard about a trick call rooting but I also thought I would just buy a better tablet (tongue in cheek).
B&N rep: The last update that B&N put out makes it impossible to root the Nook.

I read that B&N killed the root with the release of the 1.4.1 to the Nook Table. But here is my question: Did B&N do that to the Nook Color too?

If you want to use an N2A card you can absolutely do it. You can use it for a Nook tablet too. There is a difference between rooting and using N2A. Rooting you actually install a new operating system on your Nook. N2A cards make your Nook boot into a different operating system which is on the card. So no worries. If you want to order a card or make your own you will be able to use it.

You can still root your NC....I am currently running !.4.2 with a manualnooter and have no problems.....for me, this is much better than an N2A card because I don't have to boot back and forth and it's free.
Thanks KidneyKid thanked for this post
