"Wyvern" is now available! Full length fantasy novel - Book 1 of the Wyvern Trilogy and the 7th book set in the world of Ryallon.

This is a continuation of Pelya's story from the Dralin Trilogy.

Book 1 of the Wyvern Trilogy

Pelya Jornin rides away from Dralin, never to return. Nightmares travel with her, haunting the lonely roads that threaten to drive her mad. The dangers within her own mind outweigh the perils of traveling alone.

The Blue Wyverns are a mercenary group dedicated to providing safe haven to any woman who arrives at their door. For centuries, they have grown and their power now extends throughout the Kingdom of Eddland and into bordering countries. They protect the roads and merchants of the countries with waypoints and well-trained companies of women soldiers.

It is Pelya’s intention to join the Blue Wyverns. However, things are not as they should be. Rather than being welcomed, Pelya is regarded with suspicion and contempt. The Recruit Program is unwelcoming and in disarray.

Pelya befriends other young women who also look to escape hidden pasts. Rather than admiring her experience and knowledge, they find her to be reckless in her actions. Pelya draws into herself, fearing loneliness even in the midst of company.

Will Pelya’s mind conquer battles that cannot be fought with a sword? Can she escape the eyes that haunt her sleep? Will her new friends discover the secrets of her past? Who will turn out to be a true friend and who has deception in their heart? Intrigue and danger surround Pelya as she learns the history of the Blue Wyverns. Will the beginning of her new life bring about the end?

The Wyvern Trilogy is a swords-and-sorcery fantasy series following the life of Pelya Jornin as she begins her life away from the city of Dralin.

Making small changes to your diet or eating plan can be exactly what you need for good health and healthy aging. Many diseases and conditions, including allergies, and/or your family history, can require changes in your diet to keep you feeling well and in good health.

In many cases, a doctor will prescribe a modified diet, along with exercise suited to your condition. Sometimes, this diet therapy is nothing more than a good, nutritious diet balanced in carbohydrates, proteins and fats, or one that requires frequent minimeals. Most special diets can be just as tasty and easy to follow as traditional eating plans.

Nutrients in foods are nature's secret weapons for good health. If you have any of these conditions, or would like to change your diet to improve your health, review the dietary recommendations to ensure you get all the nutrients you need

An individual's diet is the sum of food and drink that he or she habitually consumes. Dieting is the practise of attempting to achieve or maintain a certain weight through diet.People's dietary choices are often affected by a variety of factors, including ethical and religious beliefs, clinical need, or a desire to control weight.

Many diets are considered by clinicians to pose significant health risks and minimal long-term benefit. This is particularly true of "crash" or "fad" diets – short-term weight-loss plans that involve drastic changes to a person's normal eating habits.

Hello everybody. I am a new owner of a Nook Simple Touch and I would like to add a Micro SD Card to my device. I am looking for advice on which kind of SD Card works best with NST, in particular which kind of class speed and brand. I am asking because I have read in other threads that some SD Cards might cause problems with NST, and I already know that other Android devices like Samsung smartphones work well only with certain kinds of SD cards. Thank you. Paula from Britain.

Here's the plan

So what, exactly, would Microsoft do with the Nook?

According to the report, the tech giant would be redeeming preferred units in Nook Media, including the segment's college book division, "leaving it with the digital operation -- e-books, as well as Nook e-readers and tablets."

In addition, apparently Nook Media had already formed plans to discontinue its Android-based tablet business by the end of its 2014 fiscal year -- a curious step considering many folks were just beginning to get excited that B&N last week finally decided to allow the Nook access to apps on the Google (NASDAQ: GOOG ) Play store.

Instead, Nook Media apparently wants to migrate to an all-digital model through which "Nook content is distributed through apps on 'third-party partner' devices." On the surface, at least, that seems like a great idea, as the low-margin hardware devices are currently harming Barnes & Noble's business at an ever-increasing rate. Besides, Barnes & Noble already told us back in February core comparable-store sales actually exceeded their own expectations by falling only 3.1%.

Barnes & Noble, then, would almost certainly be better off taking the $1 billion and running as far away as possible to focus on its existing core business.

If Microsoft ends up holding the bag, however, I'm afraid even after Nook Media isn't saddled by its low-margin hardware, it could still end up a horribly expensive failed experiment.

That's not to say anyone would blame Microsoft for being slightly peeved knowing the Nook largely relies on one of its largest mobile nemeses in the form of Google's Android OS, especially considering Microsoft's own awkward tile-based, smartphone-esque interface in Windows 8 has largely been perceived as a flop. As a result, it's probably safe to say those aforementioned "third-party devices" will at the very least include Microsoft's own struggling line of Surface tablets and laptop hybrids.

I know that I haven't been here forever. I'm out of school for the summer, so now I'll have a lot of time to read. This will be my only summer off from school, though. I'll have classes for the next two summers. All my hard work has paid off, though: I got all As this semester!

Some other good news: my mother sold her house earlier this year and sent me $13,000 as my share, so now I have enough money to finish school. No more student loans! I've also applied for scholarships, so hopefully I'll be able to get some.
